About

A graduate of the University of Illinois, Marcy has been providing bookkeeping services to her clients in New Hampshire for over 25 years. For much of that time, she also played a major role in building EcoPhotography, a photography business she shares with her husband, Jerry.  Marcy manages all company finances and has developed and maintained several other aspects of the business, including sales, marketing, and public relations.

Digital efficiencies at EcoPhotography have allowed Marcy to spend more time bookkeeping on a freelance basis the last several years, during which she has worked for both corporate and non-profit clients. This diverse experience has provided her the opportunity to fortify her bookkeeping skills and prepare her for any challenge.

Based in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Marcy spends much of her free time exploring New England’s wild places with her family while hiking, kayaking, and snowshoeing. Channeling her love of the outdoors, she has also co-authored three adventure guidebooks, including Discover Acadia National Park, published by AMC Books.

Marcy Monkman has been bookkeeper for the North American Nature Photography Association since June 2011. She has been a great asset to our organization as we moved our office, changed management, and updated our entire membership database and accounting system. Marcy and I work together on a daily basis; and I have found her to be reliable, accurate, efficient, trustworthy, and very knowledgeable as our bookkeeper. She is always pleasant to work with, and I would highly recommend Marcy for any position she desires.
